D/S Quarter Horse Farms, started after simply purchasing one broodmare in foal to a Chickasha stallion. Don Vergason, D/S Quarter Horse Farms owner, was so impressed with the Chickasha foal, that he in turn bred another mare to the same sire. As soon as the stallion Chickasha Tony, was offered for sale, Don did not hesitate. He called up the owner and purchased him over the phone. For the next ten years, Don continued to breed Chickasha Tony and has produced three world qualifiers and has earned championship and reserve championship titles.  Unfortunately, Chickasha Tony passed away on November 20, 2007. He was the last remaining breeding stallion from Chickasha Danny.

D/S Quarter Horse Farms is proud to use the training services of Jerry King’s Cutting Horses.
